History and Heritage
Sandy Level Baptist Church is one of the oldest active churches in Blythewood, SC. The heritage of Sandy Level dates back to the 1700's when the congregation was a part of the Twenty-Five Mile Creek Church. Several members of that congregation broke off and formed Sandy Level; services have been held at our current location since 1856. Our desire is to continue the history of embracing people in our community with the love of Christ and to provide relevant biblical training that leads people to become disciples of Jesus Christ.
In an effort to provide relevant biblical teaching that resonates with different people in the community we offer two types of worship services and multiple programs for children, youth, and adults. Our Traditional Service is held in the same sanctuary that church members built in 1856. The Journey, our more contemporary service, meets in the Fellowship Hall.
